In this class we will dive into how artists think and develop some of those critical thinking skills. We will explore a TON of art techniques: printmaking, collage, painting, drawing, fiber arts—all sorts of mixed media. Your student will learn new techniques but also have lots of time to develop their own unique plans for their own unique art! We will split our days between technique lessons, art discussions, and studio work time. Fair warning: glitter may be involved. ; )

Monday: getting to know you, art games, art discussion, drawing animals, painted paper demo, fiber arts demo, collage demo, lego printing demo
Tuesday: drawing/painting warm up, art discussion, studio work time, how to brainstorm and plan like an artist, painting demo, studio work time
Wednesday: drawing/painting warm up, art discussion, studio work time, how to persevere like an artist, printmaking demo, studio work time
Thursday: drawing/painting warm up, art discussion, studio work time, how to refine like an artist, watercolor demo, studio work time
Friday: drawing/painting warm up, art discussion, studio work time, in-camp art show
